Do you dare to whisper? Are you like me and have no idea what that means? LOL! I guess they're saying in a world of bright colors that holler for your attention, dare to be different by sporting softer shades. Who knows?! What I do know is these translucent gel lip colors are so comfortable to wear, they make me wanna SHOUT (hey-ay-ay-ee-ayyyy)!
I spotted the pretty Maybelline display at Target yesterday while out n' about doing some Saturday shopping with my mom. I picked up Pin Up Peach, which to me looks like a warm strawberry pink with a hint of peach, and One Size Fits Pearl, a very pale pink with gold pearl. There are 20 shades to choose from, and at my local Target these were only $6.34 each. I've seen them listed at other retailers online for even less. Sweet!
The packaging alone is enough to make you swoon; the tube covers are the same color as the lipstick inside and have "whisper" stamped on the sides in a whimsical silver Lucinda Handwriting-esque font. These lip colors are just straight-up pretty!
Both Pin Up Peach and One Size Fits Pearl are extremely comfortable to wear. They glide on like lip balm and offer about 2.5 hours of wear. Pin Up Peach gave my lips a nice warm coral tint while One Size Fits Pearl offered mostly a pearlescent shine. These definitely give my inner low-maintainence tomboy something to cheer about because the fuss-free gel colors can be applied without a mirror.
If you like a hint of color and balm-like texture, these puppies will be right up your alley! These non-sticky gel balms are comfortable to wear and come in some of the prettiest packaging around. :)
