FOTD | Dandy Lion Eyes

The other day, I wanted to do something a little more ka-pow with my eye makeup!  I pulled out the Tarina Tarantino Emerald Pretty palette; a six pack, if you will, of bold colors that I love...to look at.  I realized I'd only ever used these beautiful, pigmented shadows as liners and hadn't really played around much with them at all.  It was time to make the proverbial doughnuts!

I applied the gorgeous golden olive green Dandy Lion all over my lid and used a fluffy blending brush to smooth out the edges.

That's it!  I was planning on doing something more elaborate, but when I saw how much fun Dandy Lion was all on it's own, I just let it have it's moment in the limelight (ha!).
How was your weekend?  I've been a little under the weather the past few days, but I'm feeling better.  My mom and I spent Saturday together having lunch and chillaxing.  Jason (OMG can I please refer to him as "Mr. Glambunctious"?!?!  YES!) and I watched about 8 episodes of Homeland on Sunday and WHOA!  Twisty-turny goodness!  We've finally reached season two and it's SO good!  Big thanks to my mom for recommending another addictive show!  Have y'all seen Homeland?  What's your current favorite TV addiction?  Hope you all made it through Monday!  :) XOXO

  1. Ahhh I was eyeing this palette but of course it sold out faster than I could lay my hands on it during the sales! Dandy Lion has my name written all over it, and it's interesting how it kinda changes your eye color! Glad to hear you're feeling better! I have to check out Homeland now ;)

    1. Darn! I'm sorry you weren't able to pick this up before it sold out! I know she left Sephora but is revamping her makeup line. Hopefully she'll release some new palettes b/c her shadows are bomb! Dandy Lion would look pretty fabulous on you, Sunny! And yes on Homeland! Holla at me if you get to check it out! It's very suspenseful!

    1. Thank you, Tracy! :) ZOMG, you are going to *LOVE* Homeland! It is SO good! My mom, my fiance, and I are on a Homeland rampage right now. My mom's already finished both seasons but the show is so good she's actually re-watching it. Jason (fiance) and I are up to episode 9 of season 2 and HOLYBANANAJUJUBES! So suspenseful and groovy. Can't wait to hear what you think! Season 1 was as good (possibly better than?!) 24, which I loved! What episode are you on?

  5. omg i think Dandy lion is such a pretty color!! if this palette had come out in conjunction with the Oz movie, I bet it would be just as popular as the UD ones. I'd be so happy with just this '6 pack' ^_^ and ya'll are making me mad that I can't watch Homeland!!!! I loved the main actor in Life (you should watch that show if you haven't).

    1. I might have to check Life out! Homeland is awesome! We finished watching season 2 this weekend and now have to wait until September for the next season to start! I agree about this palette - had it come out later, it would have been huge! Tarina Tarantino was Oz-y before Oz was cool, lol! :)
