REVIEW! | LORAC Mint Edition Collection (ULTA)

Craving something minty fresh to add some flavor to your summer makeup routine?  LORAC's Mint Edition Collection, $36.00, available exclusively at ULTA might be just the dish!

This set contains 6 eyeshadows (3 matte and 3 shimmer), a coral blush, and a Lips With Benefits Gloss in Christian (coral pink), all tucked into an adorable mint and silver mesh wristlet bag.  If you're having a mint moment (or perchance a "momint"), you're going to lurve this collection!

Everything fits inside perfectly!
LORAC Mint Edition Collection - Lips With Benefits in Christian
Lips With Benefits in Christian is a lovely watermelon pink shade that smells like warm creme brulee!  AMAZE!  It lasts on me for about 3 hours before it's time to re-ap, but keep in mind I'm a heavy drinker.  Ha!  I drink coffee, water, and/or soda throughout the day, so I find my lip products wear off pretty quickly.  If you're not constantly two-fisting Mello Yello and Dasani like myself, this beautiful, non-sticky gloss will probably last longer!

On to the eye/cheek palette goodness!
The size is perfect!  It's slim and fits like a glove into my palette stash.  The packaging is just gorge!  Minty, silvery spring-ified glory.
Now let's discuss these shadows!  The shimmers are the buttery goodness that get makeup geeks excited; the plum and the iridescent pinky taupe are my personal faves!  They glide on beautifully and have the prettiest metallic finish.  The mattes are a teensy touch powdery, but are nicely pigmented and blend like a dream.  The mint shade makes for a really fun pop of color on the center of the lid that really brightens and opens the eye.  All of these shadows look just-applied at the end of the day on my primed lids (I use NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base).  The blush is a nicely pigmented coral pink shimmer that compliments the shadows like peanut butter to jelly.
I'm growing out my eyebrows a bit so apologies for the overall crunkness of them in the above pics.

The Mint Edition Collection is exclusive to ULTA, and is different from the Mint Edition Palette (containing 8 shadows, 1 blush, 1 highlighter, and a liquid lipstick) available at Sephora for $42.00.  It's a little confusing because the names are so similar and both sets contain a palette.

I love everything about this collection from the minty fresh packaging to the buttery shadows to the gloss that smells divine.  This is one of my favorite spring purchases to date!  This is my first ever LORAC purchase and I am loving it.  I also picked up the GLOgetter palette (10 large shadows for $20?  Yes, please!) and will post my full review soon.  Preview: YES. It's fantastic!

Are you having a mint moment?  What's your favorite spring makeup look?

  1. I don't like the lighter shades (including the mint one in the palette) but I do like the darker ones. And that blush looks really pretty too!

  2. I knew the lighter shades wouldn't be your jam, but the metallics are really dazzling and the blush is fab!
