Maybelline's limited edition Summer 2013 Color Tattoo collection features eight gorgeous shadows. As discussed in my previous post featuring Blue Paradise and Precious Pearl, these can be a bit of an adventure to track down. If you love the Color Tattoo formula or just like duochrome finish eyeshadows, I recommend checking your local Walgreens or CVS. I found one Walgreens with all eight shades, and another with none on the same day. It's hit or miss, but when you do find them, it's pretty exciting! :)
I picked up Seashore Frosts and Lavish Lavender from Walgreens. Seashore Frosts is the shade I've most wanted to find after seeing it swatched by a fellow beauty blogger! I swear I can see at least 4 different shades in that pot! Gorgeous!

Seashore Frosts is a blue gray that shifts gold and olive. Lavish Lavender is a lilac gray that shifts a silvery, iridescent plum. Both have a ten second dry-down so you have time to play before they set. Since I already went into detail about my typical wear-time with these in my other post, I will just say these also lasted about 6 hours without primer and 11 hours with primer.

The formula is creamy without being overly so, and they can be built up for more intense color or sheered out for a softer look. The other bonus of these is that they can be applied over other shadows to add dimension. Glitter Gloss Garbage swatched some of these over black and white shadows and it really intensifies the colors!

ReplyDeleteI think as long as you use shadow primer, you can count on 10-11 hours of wear which is pretty darn good for a $6.99 duochrome as intriguing as these! #oilylidsunite
