What's On My Nightstand?

Hello and happy Sunday!  I enjoy seeing "what's in my makeup bag"-type posts because they offer you a peek into what people love and actually use.  In that vein, I thought I'd share my nightstand essentials!

THE PRODUCTS //
While writing this post I realized my favorite nightstand products all share 2 important qualities: mega hydration and a-little-goes-a-long-way longevity.
1. Southern Hospitality Sunday's Best Foot Creme, $8.00 USD.  I am quite enamored with using this decadent moisturizer on my hands every night.  It smells so clean and leaves my skin feeling softer than baby lambs the next morning.

2. Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Vitamin E Active Moisture Eye Balm, $48.00 USD.  This thick, divinely hydrating waterless shea butter balm melts effortlessly into the skin.  It's also a gem for morning use if you wake up with puffy eyes due to the inclusion of organic fennel as a natural anti-inflammatory.  If you're thinking the price is a bit steep for half an ounce, I've had this pot since early April 2013.  I use it every night without fail, I scooped out a bit to share with my mom, and I've yet to finish it!

3. Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask, $26.00 USD.  Slathering on a layer of this intensely hydrating balm ensures the lips of a 3 year old the next morning.  I cannot recommend this enough.  As a balm junkie and sampler of what seems like every balm in the known world, this is my HG for life.  I've actually gotten up out of bed at night to go retrieve it from my purse or off my desk.  It's that good!

4. Southern Hospitality Cuticle Salve, $6.00 USD.  This adorable sliding tin holds a quarter ounce of the most pleasing honey lemon scented salve that keeps my dry cuticles in check.

THE ACCESSORIES //
Bath & Body Works Gelato Candle // The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt // Silk Peony Bouquet // Pier 1 Baby Roxie Plus Owl // Round Glass Ring Holder (similar) // Crackle Glass Lamp Base and Gold Beetle Dish originally from Target, now discontinued

What are some of your HG bedside table products?  What book are currently reading?

  1. Woooooe! Guess who's nightstand is a lot more glambunctious than mine?! .... Cheesy? Nah.
Still haven't caved on the Bite Lip Mask, and am increasingly interested in the Southern Hospitality Sunday's Best bringing me back to my fav new phrase "sweat in' like a prostitute in church"... I am also pleased with your reference to baby lambs. I did in fact, picture them, and squeal. EEP.

That is insane about the eye cream! It really must be thick! For whatever reason, putting creamy things under my eye makes me think of Shallow Hal when he says he has like conjunctivitis or something and puts vaseline on his eyes, UGHHHH. Alas, I am one to wake up with puffy eyes and I trust your judgement. I may not make it to a great $48 pot just yet, but I've always been curious of eye creams.... To start now I suppose is better than never? :S

That owl, is too adorable. Lovin' the flowers. I just recently added some to my night stand. Super fresh-feeling when I see them. I will be smelling Gelato when I get to the mall. Fortunately (and unfortunately for me financially) I live five minutes away from the mall...... Of course I'm always walking around and gotta get my sniff-fix in B&B Works....

  3. That's a pretty fabulous night stand stash! All I have on (or rather IN) mine is eye drops, a hand cream bar, zinc tablets and ear plugs. How so not glam of me :-S

  4. Your nightstand is adorable, Kristen! Looks like you are almost finished with your Agave Lip Mask! Are you planning to re-purchase? They have a new color called Champagne now and I super want! Maybe I will buy it this winter.

That Baby Roxie Plus Owl is so cute!!! <3

  5. Need to try that lip mask! How are you liking Goldfinch? I got distracted by another book so haven't cracked this one open yet.

  6. Ha ha! Me too! I had a hard time getting into the first part of the book, but as soon as we hit the second part (I don't want to give anything away so I'm being quite vague!), I have been VERY into it. And yes, you do need the Bite lip mask, Mrs. Lipstick Rules! :)

  7. Why thank you, Jaa! I will TOTES McGOATS repurchase the Bite lip mask once this tube comes to a close. I actually have a second one (in the plastic tubing) to keep in my purse so I'm never without one! I too am intrigued by the rose gold version, too!

  8. LOL! You are too funny, Melissa! Ooh eye drops - that's a good nightstand necessity. I wish mine had drawers!

  9. LOL!! I'm so glad the fine people at SoHo Feet have taught you a fabulous new phrase! And thanks for the baby lamb props! :) Cracking up at the Shallow Hal / conjunctivitis mention, omg! You do not have to fear that though b/c most eye creams, this OLO balm included, soak in. Honestly even Vaseline soaks in at some point overnight - I've tried it! And yes, it's seriously never too early to start using eye cream. I started at 22. It was one of the few solid decisions I made in my early 20s! :D

I would be in such troubs if a glorious mall containing a B&BW was that close. There is one that close, actually, but it's a huge pain in the pinata to get in and out of so I end up ordering from B&BW.com! Def smell Gelato next time. It is delicious raspberries and cream. I never light the one I keep next to my bed (to avoid falling asleep while it's lit and burning the house down) and every so often I get a whiff of it as I'm cruisin' toward Dream Ave. Seriously HEAVENLY! If you like raspberries, of course. :)

    Love and cheerios,

  11. Would you believe it? I don't have a nightstand. LOL!

  12. OH MY GOODNESS, ahahahhaaha another reason we are the same person; If I were to start eye creams (which again, I've been seriously debating) now, it would be AT 22. Yo, cray.

Solid smarts about the candle, hahaha. Please don't burn your house down. That is so scary :O I used to be obSESSed with the B&BW Slatin&co Pineapple Mango? I think? There's a different name... But that's the only scent I've repurchased numerous times throughout like a span of three years. I also liked their world scents collection with Paris and London and Somethin' and Somethin'.... The London one was bizarre and exciting all at the same time being a lemon and tea scent, but I ultimately did not buy any because I was bummed there wasn't an Amsterdam.. LOL *pouty face*

  14. Yeah I've been having dry eyes lately, so I need some artificial tears to help me out :-)

  15. Thank you, Devon! It's always better to have more necessities nearby than less, right?! :)

  16. Nice! My products are very similar in function! I have OPI Cuticle oil , jackblack lip balm , Uremol footrepair cream and systane moisturizing eye drops! I like to put my eye cream on atleast an hour before bed because I find I wake up with puffy eyes otherwise!

  17. I hear so much about the Agave Lip Mask...I think I may need to try it!
I actually don't keep much on my nightstand...everything I have I keep in my beauty room.

  18. This reminds me that the goldfinch is still waiting on my Kindle. My bedside table is similar, super hydrating products and it's a little routine.

  19. You must start The Goldfinch, Gaelle! It's quite captivating! Cheers to nighttime hydration!

  20. I love that you have a beauty room! My makeup stuff is in the guest bedroom, but it's on the other side of the apartment and I like the stuff I use every night right there. I also don't love trundling the the other side of the house in the dark alone, lol! I'd love to know what you think if you pick up the Agave Lip Mask. It's THICK. A tiny little dot will cover your whole lips, but man, it hydrates my lips and seems to repair them overnight like nothing else I've ever used!

  21. That's such a smart idea to put the eye cream on earlier to avoid puffy eyes, Dee! My husband is addicted to those Systane eye drops! If he had a nightly beauty routine, that would definitely make the cut! :)
