HANAair Professional Hair Dryer - Review + Photos
Before I launch into a full-on rave fest about how the HANAair Professional Hair Dryer is the best blow dryer I've ever used, let me share my hair care routine so you can fully digest the absurd laziness that is me and my hair.
1. Shampoo
2. Conditioner (shout out to my bestie, Aussie 3 Minute Miracle!)
3. Wrap it up in a micro fiber towel
4. Brush it out with my trusty Tangle Teezer
And scene. That's a wrap!
I let my long hair air-dry because using a dryer takes a long time and tends to create knots. However, air-drying isn't the greatest idea when it's 9 degrees outside! So when the kind people at Misikko offered to send me a HANAair to try, I was extremely excited! Perfect timing, Misikko!
Now let's discuss this sleek Italian beauty. The HANAair is AMAZING. The power! The pageantry! ;) Seriously, the 2300 watts of power this dryer generates is incredible. It typically takes me about 8-10 minutes to fully dry my hair. With the HANAair, it takes 3! This lazy hair person was thrilled!
It has 2 speeds, 3 heat settings (Hot, Warm, and Cool) and a Cool Shot button that you click on or off. No more holding down the cool shot button! It's really nice. The cool air is extremely cold almost instantly. For all of the power it generates, it's not excessively loud. It also has a VERY long 12 foot cord, making it ideal for anyone whose nearest electrical outlet is more than a few feet away from where you like to dry your hair. Fabulous!
After drying my hair with the HANAair, I experienced a phenomenon known as "volume"! My hair felt bouncy and volumized and was remarkably free of static due to the infrared ions. The pure tourmaline crystals add antibacterial ions (bye bye static!) and shine. My hair doesn't tangle like it normally does when I use the HANAair, which is another mark in the win column!
Do you dry your hair every day? How long does it take you? Have you guys tried anything from the HANA Professional line?

Hey Kristen, yay for fancy hairdryers! I only blow my hair dry after I shampoo it (which I do about twice a week. Can't do more with all the hair I have). I have a pretty solid and big one from Remington. I've been using it for a bit more than a year now, and it's still going strong! What I realized is I need a pretty BIG one, because my long hair gets sucked in by the smaller ones a lot, and it's just sad to have to cut those parts off!
ReplyDeleteI'm still looking for a hair dryer. I thought the 1900watts I'm considering was a lot, but whoa Hana! I am so sick of blow-drying and I only do it 2-3 times a week. I'm glad to know it is much quicker with a professional grade dryer.
ReplyDeleteHey Kristen, my hair dryer is quite big. Got it from a pro salon but I don't know what brand it is. It has lasted for 8 years and still going strong. Best money spent. I don't usually dry my hair unless I wash my hair before bed. It's so hot here, I can walk out with wet hair and it'd dry within half hour. Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteI blow dry my hair every three days. I have the karmin g3 salon pro blow dryer and it works pretty good, it's fast and leaves my hair super shiny
ReplyDeleteThanks, Camila!
ReplyDelete8 YEARS!! Dang, that sounds like a winner! And I'm the same way as you most of the year! It's usually warm enough here to skip blow drying and my hair dries naturally pretty fast, esp. during the summer! But blow drying it does make it shinier and smoother. At least with this, I know I have 3 minutes to spare which makes it easier for this lazy hair person! :0
ReplyDeleteI had no idea it could be so quick and easy! This thing is a huge plus in the win column for those who tend to have no time. Or are easily distracted by other things...like taking pictures of their makeup selections before they leave for work. LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is this mysterious phenomenon you call volume? I am pretty sure it's something that I have never had before...
ReplyDelete;-)
Sounds like a pretty decent hair dryer! I let my hair air dry 95% of the time though, all in the name of keeping my sad locks as healthy as possible. But when I do use a hairdryer I use one from Babyliss.
Hair dry in 3 minutes with this?!!!! WOAH!! And here I thought my T3 was quick ha ha!
ReplyDeleteRight!? "Volume"...?? We need a slideshow / picture tutorial!
ReplyDeleteYeah, this dryer completely amazed me!!
