REVIEW! | Urban Decay Glinda Palette

The first few times I saw Urban Decay's Glinda Palette, $49.00, online at Sephora and Urban Decay, I just didn't feel it was meeting my "must-have" guidelines (those being that I have to get a lot of use out of it and I have to have heart palpitations whenever I think about it).  That all changed when I saw it swatched by a fellow bblogger!  All of the shadows looked like shades I'd get a lot of wear out of and I couldn't believe the gorgeousness of the split-pan duochrome color Aura!

I was *SO* excited when I bought this palette!  I tracked it's progress from the Urban Decay shipping warehouse to my humble abode with great giddiness and glee.  I'm happy to report that the excitement was totally justified as this palette has become my go-to daily eye routine!

Just look at it.  It's the prettiest palette I've ever seen, hands-down!  All sparkly and dreamy.

Tornado (vibrant deep purple shimmer)

Aura (2 shades in 1: iridescent white w/blue shift and iridescent white w/red shift)

Let's discuss these shadows!  They are creamy, buttery, and have staying power like nobody's business.  These wore for 7.5 hours without a primer before I saw any trace of creasing (a feat on my oily lids!) and were still going strong at 14 hours when I wore them with a primer.  There's a reason Urban Decay is the first brand to come to mind when I think "best eyeshadow", y'all!  They are just perfection.

Aura and South are my two stand-out favorites.  It's really hard to get a good picture of Aura!  Both shades are very nuanced and lovely in person.  The only shadow I had trouble with was the glitterati fallout from Oz.  The eyeliner glides on smoothly and stays put all day regardless of whether or not I use a primer.  The Glinda Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color is *awesome*!  It lasts for hours on my lips and is such a pretty shimmering beige-y pink.  It's the kind of lip product that I love because it's non-sticky and the color is a great MLBB shade with the added punch of a shimmery finish.  This lip color really lets your eyes do the talkin', so to speak (the puns just keep coming)!

The Glinda Palette keeps with the new Build Your Own Palette format, so all of the pans can be popped out and new colors can be popped in.  It's a nice feature to have if you want to do some shade shifting or if you wanted to replace shadows once you've hit pan.
