Hello beautiful people! I hope you've all been doing super groovy! Today I wanted to share with you something I feel truly passionate about. BLUSH, YO!
I've been well...in love with Pommettes D'Amour Blush in Love, a limited edition blushing beauty from Lancome, ever since I saw Rema at The Burgundy Book's post back in April. After months of dutiful resistance, I gave in and picked it up. After all, it is limited edition, folks, so it won't be waiting by the phone forever!
Pommettes D'Amour ("love cheekbones"), $49.00 USD, is made up of a matte peach encircled (ensquared?) by a sheer shocking pink. Mixed together, it becomes a beautiful pinky coral that would suit anyone!
Outer ring, inner ring, mixed - heavily swatched |
It's an impressive size, too! It would take you quite some time to hit pan!
It comes in a cardboard compact and the mirror slides completely out. Some have grumbled that the compact should be made of something more sturdy for the price, but I think the paper packaging adds to it's artistic appeal. Bottom line: it's pretty!Blush in Love comes in two shades, Pommettes D'Amour and Peche Joue-Joue, which is more of an apricot peach shade. If you've been in lurve with either of the Spring 2013 Blush in Love offerings, get 'em before they disappear from Lancome shelves forever.

I have been itching to write a new post, but lately I've been quite busy getting ready for the move this Friday and watching ALL FIVE SEASONS of Breaking Bad! We just reached season 5 last night and are now on episode 3...I do NOT know what's going to happen next and I'm really loving the show! I just wish I'd been watching it in real time when it came out in 2008!
I'm SO ready to be in our new place! We got to go by and see our actual apartment last week and now I'm even more excited! Right now we're living in box paradise. It's so stark in here without any pictures on the walls or curtains hung. I can't wait until Friday!
Lots of love, guys! ❤
LOVE this on you and your lovely cheekbones! Really pretty! I have one Lancome blush and it has an EIFFEL TOWER on it-HUH? HUH? It's so pretty that I've never used it LOL! Someday I will!
ReplyDeleteYAY to Breaking Bad!! Best show EVER. I don't think there was one bad episode. So excited for your move and for you guys to get settled. Good luck you two!
What a gorgeous blush on you, Kristen! The pink leans too cool for my skin tone, but I do love how it looks mixed! Good luck with moving!
ReplyDeleteOh this is loooovely! :-) Really a very pretty blush, both in the pans as on your cute little cheeks. Have a good move!
ReplyDeletePretty packaging!!! I love this. More blush to add to my collection. Looks gorgeous on you my dear.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty color, I never really pay much mind to Lancome makeup (I used to waaaaay back when I first started my obsession) but this was worth a second look! And good luck with your move, I'm pretty much going to stay where I am for like, 10 years because I hate the moving process so much ;)

ReplyDeleteThank you, Brittany! :) Not too bad, actually - as you can see on the blush, it's pretty pigmented if you keep a' swirlin', lol! Thanks for leaving me a comment! Big hugs to Clumps! :)
ReplyDeleteRight?! If it's pretty AND LE, it's almost irresistible! And thank you so much, Quinn!
ReplyDeleteHi Charlotte! Don't let my face swatches fool you, it can definitely be built up to kaboom levels, but as I took the face photos before going to work, I didn't want to get to crazy, lol! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lily! You are a peach pastry! ;) I feel like I could hit pan on a few blushes if I really focused, but I just like variety too much!
ReplyDeleteThank you, ML! Yes - the new Rose Desir blush looks HEAVENLY for sure!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Natalie! So happy you stopped by and left such a kind comment! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, so glad you left me a little note! It's a beauty, for sure! Not sure I'll ever hit pan on a blush this giant, lol!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lauren! See, my gateway makeup was Clinique and I have totally been looking at other brands for years and years and kind of forgot about Clinique until recently. I tried some eyeshadows, lippies, and a blush, and it was like meeting up with a good friend, lol! So definitely check Lancome out again, you might just fall back in love! And thank you - we're all moved now and just have a few items left on the to do list. So happy with our new place!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Julie! This pop of pink would look fantastic on you! And it's LE, which I know makes your heart race! ;)

ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Sunny! I think you would seriously look DIVINE in Nars Sin. Thank you for the good luck wishes - we love our new home! So comfortable and we're so happy with it!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! An EIFFEL TOWER on a BLUSH?! Be still my heart. That's a combo platter of two of my very favorite things in ze world! I agree - there seriously wasn't a single bad epi of Breaking Bad! We're thinking about watching it from start to finish over again. I really loved it! Saul was a definite fave. And thanks - we're all moved in and completely enamored with the new place! YAYYAYYAYAYAYAY! I just have to reorganize my makeup stash...that should only take 4-5 hours with my OCD. Ha!
ReplyDeleteLimited Edition... my kryptonite.
ReplyDeleteYou sold me, Kristen! It looks gorgeous in the pan AND on you! I wonder how it would swatch on my skin, though...
ReplyDeleteGlad you're enjoying your new home. Moving to a new place is always exciting... I know firsthand as I'm moving every few years myself... haha.
Us too, Jaa! We've moved several times over the past few years and it's always stressful but exciting at the same time! I'd love to see this blush on you - sometimes wearing the opposite tone creates a really flattering look.
