I was delightedly using my most recent acquisition, Bite's Agave Lip Mask, and thinking about how grateful I was to
Jaa at Hello♥Jaa for introducing me to this fine product. That got me to thinking that it might be fun to share a few purchases I've made over the years that were 100% inspired by one of my fellow beauty blogging buds!

Bite Agave Lip Mask |
1. As mentioned above,
Jaa wrote a brilliant review of Bite's Agave Lip Mask. My winter dry lips rejoiced! I picked it up a few days later and I've been mainlining it ever since. I slather it on thick at night and wake up with perfectly hydrated, flake-free lips. Weee!
|
Tarte Tipsy |
2. After seeing
Tarte's Tipsy Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush on Taylor at My Lucite Dreams, it was decided. I needed Tipsy, plain and simple. It's such a great coral pop in the spring and summer, but I also wore it a lot over the winter to add some cheer during drizzly cold winter days.

NARS Mad Mad World Eyeshadow Duo |
|
MAC Vegas Volt |
3. & 4. Credit for two items must go to one of my longest-followed bloggers, the utterly funtastic
Karen at Makeup & Beauty Blog: the
NARS Mad Mad World Eyeshadow Duo and
MAC Vegas Volt Lipstick. If you're familiar with my typically subdued makeup routine, both of these items are boldly outside of the lines for me. But ya know what? I love both of them for that very reason! I don't often rock bold blue or green smokey eyes or neon coral lips, but these products, and their corresponding reviews/love from Karen, have inspired me to step outside of my beauty comfort zone.

Dove Refresh + Care Volume Dry Shampoo |
5. Running low on my usual dry shamp champ, I was inspired to try out
Dove's Refresh + Care Volume Dry Shampoo after reading
a dry shampoo smackdown post from Sarah at Tatt2sAndWarpaint. I have to say...after one use, I was hooked! It smells SO good and the amount of product dispensed from a single press of the nozzle is kind of incredible! It soaked up every ounce of oil lickety splits. Thanks, Sarah!
|
Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Tease |
6. Inspired by
Michelle at Lipstick Rules, I picked up the orangey lovely
Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Tease after seeing her review and beautiful lip swatch. It's a perfectly glossy sheer tangerine shade that compliments neutral brown shadow looks like nobody's business! It was love at first swipe. ❤

Buxom Creamsicle Full-On Lip Cream |
7. I feel
Jennifer a/k/a Jenny Sue Makeup gets a special round of applause for making me reconsider
Buxom Full-On Lip Cream after reading her post. I'd previously tried and disliked one, but I decided to give them another go since the color range is so gorgeous. I picked up Creamsicle, a dreamy peachy-pink, and the second time around was the magic. The tingle wasn't as intense as I'd previously remembered and I actually....
enjoyed it! The color is beautiful, too!
This is just a quick sampling; rest assured I've been inspired by many more of you than I've included here. Gotta save something for Blogger-Inspired Buys Part 2 right?! Thanks to all of the ladies above for the ab-fab recommendations! XOXO
PS: Today marks exactly
1 MONTH until the wedding! Woohoooooooo! On April 26th, I'll be trotting down the aisle! Can't wait! </bridegushing>
What was your last blogger-inspired buy?
Haha so I'm not the only one who has this problem! Reading beauty blogs certainly puts a lot of stuff in my shopping cart :p I've been eyeing that lip mask, too. Do you also find the packaging tricky though? Every review I've read so far mentions that unfortunate little detail.
ReplyDeleteAlso, whoop whoop! One-month countdown!
I'm with you on the Dove dry shampoo and Revlon Tease. Recently tried both and love them! Tarte Tipsy is also on the ever-growing list of things. And one month left! Stay cool and have fun! :D
ReplyDeleteOnly one month! Squeeeeee!!!!!! I would love it if Buxom made more Lip Cream shades. Such an awesome formula and finish.
ReplyDeleteI'm so going to do this (and I've got you to down for a purchase I made that I loooove and you probably don't even know I got it!! tehehe) Yay for one month! You better post a gazillion (yes, that's a real number to me) pictures for us to see! :)
ReplyDeleteAWESOME blog post and I'm so glad you gave the Buxom a 2nd chance!! That color is super dreamy! You know you are about to cost me a bunch of money bc after these reviews and other fellow blogger recs, I'm wanting to buy every.single.product! (except for the Revlon balm - got it, check!)
ReplyDeleteOne month YAY!! Bloggers are such enablers, hey? :P
ReplyDeleteWoo one month until your big day, that is SO exciting :)
ReplyDeleteMy list of blogger influenced buys is too embarrassing to share haha.
Maybe Its Megan Leigh
Loved this post, now I want to buy everything. I like to see what blogs you read and what you've taken away from their posts! That lip mask looks most intriguing because of the winter weather. I'm sure my wintery-dry-lips would rejoice too. I love scrubbing them so a mask seems like a logical next step ;) That Buxom also looks really lovely. I feel like just owning it would make me feel like a prima donna diva. Where were you able to buy it?
ReplyDeleteNo worries about the emails, I've been busy and haven't had a second to get on anyway, and I'm bad at emailing myself...! AND I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOUR WEDDING. Because I'm going, in spirit... You invited me in spirit, right? RIGHT?
Much Love,
-Stephanie Eva
That lip mask, I need it!
ReplyDeleteThat MAC lipstick looks reallllly pretty! It's great to see how other beauty bloggers fuel your beauty lemmings :-)
ReplyDeleteThat damn Vegas Volt keeps creep' it's way back into my psyche like the grim reaper in a non-murderous sense. I went to buy it then bought See Sheer instead. And ohhhh I hear that Bite mask is awesome! I use Mary Kay's lip mask and loooooove it. I wonder how they compare.
ReplyDelete"like the grim reaper in a non-murderous sense." has to be one of the best lines ever, LOL! Vegas Volt is definitely VERY POPPIN'. You could totally rock it with just a hint of concealer and a dab of mascara and look completely done up! i've never tried MK's lip mask, but if it's anything like the Bite one, I would lurve it! I've actually started carrying the Bite mask in my purse so I can use it all day long and not only just for overnight repair. I only reapply it one or two times during the day and my lips are completely smooth with no creepy bits. It's a winna! :D
ReplyDeleteYou always tempt me to do more dramatic eyes and wear more colorful lip shades! I always see your gorgeous eye looks and feel inspired to reach for something other than beige! <3
ReplyDeleteYou absolutely DO! It is ridiculously good. My lips are in love!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! A "prima donna diva"! That is awesome. I picked that up from Sephora! I loved your insta video, btw - that is SO cool and awe-mazing that our names are next to each other's! You would LURVE the Agave Lip Mask. It's the BEST lip repair balm I've ever tried! And yes, of course you are invited to the wedding in spirit! You have no idea! I told Jason if we were rich, I would have invited and paid for airfare for all of my favorite bbloggers and had several tables of them there to celebrate! That would be perfection! If we win the lottery between now and 4/26, expect good things! :) XOXO
ReplyDeleteLOL! I'm sure it's not that embarrassing! ;) Bloggers really do influence purchases more than any other form of media nowadays! Even when I see something raved about in a magazine, I still go and check out reviews from bloggers before I buy it! And thank you! 28 days to go! Holy moses!
ReplyDelete28 days to go! I still need to sit down and write up my "beauty plan". I'm still on the fence about the lipstick/stain piece of things. I mean, I can tolerate a long-wearing liquid lipstick, but I don't find them super comfy. But they DEF stay on. Lipstick is really so much more comfortable to wear, but it comes off easily. Any suggestions for a regular lipstick that has a little bit more lasting power without having to go into the heavy duty MUFE Aqua Rouge range? I'd love to know if you have any idears, my Canadian beauty oracle! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! I know! Whenever I read a favorites post or an empties post, my wallet wimpers! But hey - at least you can cross off the Revlon Balm! That's 1 item down! Woohoo! ;) Thank you so much, btw! You really made me reconsider the Buxom gloss and I am grateful to you for that! :)
ReplyDeleteOh that would be awesome! And I can't wait to find out what product it was that you love that I don't even know about! Fun times! Thank you, Lauren! And yes, GOT IT: 1 gazillion pictures - CHECK! ;)
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more! Buxom is really becoming a favorite line. Cheers for 1 month! So excited!!
ReplyDeleteDon't ya just love how the Dove dry shampoo like...BLOWUPTUATES POWDER EVERYWHERES?! But in a good way?! It's similar to a fire extinguisher, lol! Whole head is done in 2 seconds flat. I love it! I personally think Tipsy would look extremely kick-ass on you, Liz. And thanks! Trying to stay cool and have fun and just "soak in" the experience instead of being typical me, trying to check everything off of my to do clipboard and getting rattled and needing MOAR COFFEE AND COCA COLA STAT. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! My wish list grows with every post I read! You're always tempting me with Dior! And RBR too!
ReplyDeleteThe Agave Lip Mask is absolutely the BEST lip product I've ever used for healing - TRULY healing - dry, peeling, unhappy lips. My lips have never felt smoother - ever. BUT, yes, the packaging would be better if it was in a plastic tube versus a metal one. I don't find it hard to squeeze at all, but you do have to be careful or it will tend to ooze. If they changed the packaging, this product would be 100% perfect. However, even with the metal tin woes, I would still say this lip mask is completely worth it because the actual product is holy grail material.
28 days to go! WOOOOHOOOO! :D
Glossy-try one of those new Lancome Lip Lovers-MAN THEY STAY ON, plus they lightly stain lips, fell like a lip balm-PERFECT.
ReplyDeleteGivenchy Le Rouge-also so so good and lasts a long time. Semi matte. Yeah, expensive but it's your wedding! Check those out.
Thanks for the shout-out my friend! Love that you love it! I also bought Vegas Volt based on Karen's posts. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, peaches! <3<3<3
ReplyDeleteOf course, beauty! It's a staple for sure. Thank you! OMG, I feel like Karen could manage to sell me ANYTHING from her spirited and creative reviews and photog skills!
ReplyDeleteYay! Thanks, boo boo! You def need to try the Lip Mask! It is seriously one of my all-time favorite lip products. Such a repairing powerhouse! I bet you miss Sephora trips, but now you'll look forward to visits home ever more, lol! So glad you started blogging again! Lots of love - and as of today - HAPP BIRTHDAY, my little cupcake! :D
