Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Woppin' Watermelon is a sheer pink moisturizing lip balm. The color applies very sheer, but even, and gives the lips a pretty shine. The color you see on your lips will depend on your natural lip color. There is an element of buildability as well, so you can keep swiping it on for slightly more color payoff.
These are not the same Chubby Sticks you had in the 90's that required a mondo honkin' sharpener! The new Chubby Stick is housed in a plastic tube with a twist-up mechanism in the bottom so the balm will never need sharpening again. The formulation is also much improved as it now boasts loads of good-for-your-lips ingredients such as shea and mango seed butters. It feels very comfortable on your lips; smooth and conditioned without being overly slick, and not even a whisper of the much maligned stickiness that seems to go hand in hand with some lip products.
The product lasted about 3-4 hours before I needed to reapply, which is quite good for a non-sticky balm. It is completely flavorless and unscented, making it an excellent choice for anyone with fragrance sensitivities.
This is definitely a tinted BALM, not a lipstick, so if it's impactful color and coverage you seek, I would skip this product. However, if you prefer sheer color with the conditioning agents of a balm, you'll like this. I think Chubby Sticks would make great gifts for friends who don't typically wear lip color.

ReplyDeleteHi there! Chunkiest Chili is definitely more opaque because it's part of the Intense line. Woppin' Watermelon is just a regular ol' moisturizing Chubby Stick without a lot of pigmentation pow! :)
