Cover Girl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in #205 Ballet Twist is a slightly frosted medium pink tinted lip balm with flecks of gold shimmer. It's the best dupe I've found for Clinique Chubby Sticks. It feels wonderful on - very much like a true lip balm. If it weren't for the gold sparkles making their presence known from time to time (you can feel them a little bit when you press your lips together), this would feel exactly like lip balm. On me, it lasts about 2 hours before it's time to whip out the tube and re-app.
I like the packaging. It's a crayon-like bullet that you'll twist up using the metal cap on the bottom as you need it. The top cap on these is the same color as the gloss balm it contains, and the main part of the tube is a pretty plum color with the brand and product info stamped on it in silver. The only complaint I have is the color name is not listed anywhere on the product. There is a color number on the bottom of the tube, but if you're like me, you're probably not going to remember that "205" stands for "Ballet Twist" five minutes after buying it. I'm a word person and love to know the name of everything, but I know not everyone cares about that!
Ballet Twist is a very light wash of pink with gold shimmer throughout that will look great on many skin tones. It's balm-y enough and light enough in color to be applied without a mirror. Bonus! :) If you like Clinique Chubby Sticks but don't want to shell out the $16.00 per tube, this might be a good product to get to know.
