Keirsey Temperament Sorter-II (KTS-II)

My result: Idealist Portrait of the Counselor (INFJ)

Counselors have an exceptionally strong desire to contribute to the welfare of others, and find great personal fulfillment interacting with people, nurturing their personal development, guiding them to realize their human potential. Although they are happy working at jobs (such as writing) that require solitude and close attention, Counselors do quite well with individuals or groups of people, provided that the personal interactions are not superficial, and that they find some quiet, private time every now and then to recharge their batteries. Counselors are both kind and positive in their handling of others; they are great listeners and seem naturally interested in helping people with their personal problems. Not usually visible leaders, Counselors prefer to work intensely with those close to them, especially on a one-to-one basis, quietly exerting their influence behind the scenes.

Counselors are scarce, little more than one percent of the population, and can be hard to get to know, since they tend not to share their innermost thoughts or their powerful emotional reactions except with their loved ones. They are highly private people, with an unusually rich, complicated inner life. Friends or colleagues who have known them for years may find sides emerging which come as a surprise. Not that Counselors are flighty or scattered; they value their integrity a great deal, but they have mysterious, intricately woven personalities which sometimes puzzle even them.

Counselors tend to work effectively in organizations. They value staff harmony and make every effort to help an organization run smoothly and pleasantly. They understand and use human systems creatively, and are good at consulting and cooperating with others. As employees or employers, Counselors are concerned with people's feelings and are able to act as a barometer of the feelings within the organization.

Blessed with vivid imaginations, Counselors are often seen as the most poetical of all the types, and in fact they use a lot of poetic imagery in their everyday language. Their great talent for language-both written and spoken-is usually directed toward communicating with people in a personalized way. Counselors are highly intuitive and can recognize another's emotions or intentions - good or evil - even before that person is aware of them. Counselors themselves can seldom tell how they came to read others' feelings so keenly. This extreme sensitivity to others could very well be the basis of the Counselor's remarkable ability to experience a whole array of psychic phenomena.

Mohandas Gandhi, Sidney Poitier, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jane Goodall, Emily Bronte, Sir Alec Guiness, Carl Jung, Mary Baker Eddy, Queen Noor are examples of the Counselor Idealist (INFJ).

Finish the statement!

made by KATEichooseyou

Right now I'm listening to...Samantha Who? episode I DVR'd.
Tonight I will....shower, work on artsy stuff, relax
Last night I dreamt of...no memory of dreams but I slept amazingly sound.
I wish I was...heading to the tropics tomorrow!
I knew I should have...hopped in the shower as soon as I got home.
I like to daydream of...all sortsa crazy junk!
I can't believe...how many "celebreality" shows there are that people actually watch and enjoy!
I really miss...Maridee! I haven't seen her since last fall. Miss you!!
I really love...reading
But I really hate...reading in the car (carsickness).
Sometimes I wonder...how people are doing that I haven't talked to in a long time.
I always feel better when...someone makes me laugh
I always get freaked out when...I have to talk to groups of ppl I don't know.
Sometimes I get jealous when...I'm around rich people! I start day dreaming about what all I'd buy.
I get self-conscience when...bathing suit season marches in!
When I'm frustrated I...vent and think.
But when I'm excited I...say "YAYYYYY!" a lot and think of whatever it is I'm excited about all day long!
When I find out someone lied to me I...add 'em to my burn book, baby. J/K!
I would never...eat shark fin soup.
I would love a pet...golden lab pup.
I always try to...smile at people, even when I'm in a crap mood.
My guilty pleasure is...I don't think there's anything I like that's so dorky I'd feel ashamed. But if I think of anything, I'll come back.
My worst habit might have to be...smoking. Then lip balm. Although I think I'm more addicted to lip balm than cigs.
In the future I plan on...rocking the nation from coast to coast.
But tomorrow I think I will...go to work, have a super fun din-din with mombo and Jason and then watch Big Brother 11, Bones and LA Ink! Will Aubry ever get fired? Sheezits.

Fun with LBJ

Adorable picture of Yuki, President Lyndon B. Johnson and LBJ's grandson. Apparently LBJ and Yuki would sing together for fun! So enjoyable!

Who's Your 80s Hunk?

Coincidence that I'm dating someone named Jason B.? I think not. And I'm pretty sure he wore that same sweater back in '89.

Your 80s Hunk is Jason Bateman

Back in the 80s, you would be a typical cute girl next door. So it's no surprise your guy is the ideal guy next door. You go for a guy who's sensitive, sweet, and sexy without knowing it. You prefer to be with a guy who focuses his attention on you... not showing off!

Sad news about Leah and her husband Bill

I received some sad news today about a sweet lady I have worked with over the years in the GA Senate. Leah was always so bubbly on the phone, and funny and light-hearted. I am so sorry to hear she and her husband are gone; their family members are in my thoughts. Please keep them in yours.

Legislative assistant among victims of I-20 wreck
By Billy Hobbs | Augusta Chronicle

WARRENTON, Ga. – Authorities have identified three people killed in a head-on collision on Interstate 20 in Warren County on Saturday night.

Warren County Coroner Paul Lowe identified the victims as Robert M. Rowell, 68, of the 3900 block of Loblolly Trail, Martinez, and Alan William Dick, 63, and his wife, Leah-Tatum Dick, 57, who had homes in Martinez and Atlanta. Mrs. Dick was an administrative assistant for two state senators, Mr. Lowe said. Over the years she had also worked for a number of other legislators, including former state Sen. Joey Brush and former state Reps. Ben Harbin and Robin Williams.

Mr. and Mrs. Dick apparently died instantly. Both were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 6 p.m. Mr. Rowell was flown by helicopter from the scene to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta, where he died at 7:39 p.m., Mr. Lowe said.

Mr. Rowell, a deliveryman for Elder Care of Augusta, was identified Sunday afternoon. But the names of Mr. and Mrs. Dick were withheld until Sunday night by authorities because they had been unable to contact next of kin.

Mr. Dick was driving a Toyota Avalon westbound on Interstate 20 when he veered across the median and into the path of Mr. Rowell, who was driving a Dodge Dakota pickup truck, according to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Willie Ramsey.

State of Play

I am really excited to see this movie once it's released on DVD 9/1/09! I love Rachel McAdams and the storyline sounds twisty and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride-ish.

A petty thief is gunned down in an alley and a Congressman's assistant falls in front of a subway - two seemingly unrelated deaths. But not to wisecracking, brash newspaper reporter Cal McAffrey who spies a conspiracy waiting to be uncovered. With a turbulent past connected to the Congressman and the aid of ambitious young rookie writer Della Frye, Cal begins uprooting clues that lead him to a corporate cover-up full of insiders, informants, and assassins. But as he draws closer to the truth, the relentless journalist must decide if it's worth risking his life and selling his soul to get the ultimate story.
