MAC Prom Princess powder blush, part of the Archie's Girl's Collection, is a "midtone violet pink" with a satin finish. On me, it's definitely a bright blue-based pink with a hint of sheen. Prom Princess is part of Veronica's side of the collection.
I wasn't sure which of the 2 blushes offered in the Archie's Girls Collection would work better for me. I chose Prom Princess because Cream Soda looked too much like Launch Away (from the Hey, Sailor Collection), which was nearly invisible on my face. I have to say, I think I made the wrong choice this time! I definitely have no problem getting Prom Princess to show up on my NW 20 skin; if anything, it's too dark for me. I have to apply it with a duo fibre brush and tap off the excess on the back of my hand before I can apply it to my face. Even with all the precautions I take to reduce the impact, the color is still bumpin' like Studio 54 at 3 a.m.!
I really think this would be a fantastic blush for those with darker skin. Though the texture is a little on the drier side, the color payoff is major and it pulls a full 10 hour shift without fading or morphing into a darker color.
Prom Princess is currently sold out on the MAC website, but may still be available at your nearest MAC counter. If you really, really love it, you can definitely find it on eBay (though it will cost you more).
