REVIEW! | Maybelline New York Eye Studio Mad for Mauve

Maybelline New York Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow in Mad for Mauve
Maybelline New York Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow in Mad for Mauve is an eyeshadow quad consisting of a pale pink champagne, a rosy mauve, an olive green, and a burgundy plum.  All 4 shades are shimmers that apply pretty true-to-pan.  The color payoff was really good, but they weren't as pigmented as an Urban Decay shadow (my personal favorite).

The wear time is pretty boss.  I happened to be wearing the shadows from this quad when I went to have my eyebrows threaded.  I usually leave the brow threading place with some errant mascara under my eyes and shadow missing from my lids (due to the fact that you've got to hold your eyelid closed while the esthetician works their magic).  Much to my complete surprise, these shadows held up without so much as a smudge!  Even the burgundy plum shade I'd used as a liner was still in perfect shape after the threading.  I was impressed!

Maybelline New York Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow comes in 15 shades and sells for $10 bucks a pop.  If you're not keen to spend $18 per shadow and you don't mind them being slightly less pigmented than higher-end brands, these quads are definitely worth checking out.

My rating: B+
Price: $9.99 MSRP
